The first few pages are full of cartographic scribbles from Earth, which would be wholly unimportant to me now, if not for their reminder that my memory is true (what little memory I have!), and that I am not losing my mind.

On the following pages, I have meticulously traced my steps in relation to whatever landmarks I have been able to spot. Hopefully this will turn into a proper map someday. Alas, for now it is little more than a plotted path.

At the back, I have recorded what plants and animals I have encountered. I regret to have neglected the life sciences, but for now these lists are serviceable:

Animals: Thrush, cross spider, fly, rabbit, goose, tit, roe deer, butterfly (tortoiseshell?), partridge, squirrel, marmot, crow or raven, adder, salamander, bioluminescent bird (nocturnal?), worm, snail

Plants: Grass, daisy, bramble, nettle, plantain, cypress, olive, strawberry, moss, little brown mushroom, rhubarb

Time: 22nd of March 1791, 14:30

Inventory: Pocket watch, telescope, compass, notebook, graphite, ruler, tool knife, rope, firesteel, flintlock (no ammunition), rations for 3 days
